I know you’re probably all thinking I’m a bit late to the party with this review but I am only just getting around to going through the mammoth Boots 3 for 2 haul I did last month. If you follow me on Instagram then you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. If not, trust me it was a big one! I’ve been giving the No7 Pop & Glow blush and Instant Radiance Highlighter a good trial run over the past few weeks and really putting them through their paces. I’ve never really been a lover of cream based blushers with having the oiliest of oily skin but this lovely little pairing have been a great surprise for me and retailing at £9.95 each, they don’t break the bank either. Especially if you are a regular at Boots (which I’m sure ALL of you are) and have a cheeky No7 voucher for some money off.
No7 Pop & Glow Cream Blush Stick in Classic Rose.
Let’s start with the cream blush, shall we? I opted for the shade Classic Rose which is right up my street. It is a fabulous blue toned pink which is a great transitional colour, ideal for any season. When swiped across your cheek, it can look a little daunting and over the top but you really don’t need to worry as it blends like a dream in to the most gorgeous colour. What surprised me most about the No7 Pop & Glow Blush Sticks was the texture, although it applies like a super smooth cream, it actually turns in to a soft powder upon contact with the skin which makes it incredibly easy to blend and not to mention, oily skin friendly. It wasn’t what I was expecting and despite changing from a bright cream to a more subtle powder, there wasn’t much compromise in colour. No7 offer some serious pigmentation and colour payout with their cream blush sticks and I am a big advocate of the bold flushed cheek so I was not disappointed. It is easily built up to offer more intensity too. I work in a really humid, highly air conditioned office for eight hours a day and I have to put all of my products through the ‘work test’ to check their longevity and it’s safe to say that No7 passed with flying colours. Pop & Glow, you pack some pretty awesome staying power!
No7 Instant Radiance Highlighter.
I think I might actually love No7’s Instant Radiance Highlighter more than the blusher… It is a thing of beauty. This highlighter offers a nude pink-gold shimmer that instantly brightens your complexion and is incredibly flattering. It leaves your skin looking extremely healthy and radiant by adding just the right amount of warmth and shimmer. I tend to use highlighting powders normally as opposed to creams and liquids but this has quickly become a firm favourite in my make up routine. It gives my skin that extra bit of oomph that it so desperately needs. Texture wise, it is similar to the blusher and although it applies to the skin like a cream, it instantly changes to a powder on contact. You don’t need to use an awful lot of this product as a little really goes a long way. I also like to use this down the bridge of the nose, on the brow bone, Cupid’s bow as well as on the cheek bones. It can be used everywhere.
I absolutely adore the design of both these products and I think No7 need to give themselves a hefty pat on the back. They both come in cute travel friendly, chubby stick packaging with a twist up mechanism which makes them super easy to use without any fuss or mess. You simply apply where needed and blend (fingers or brush) – it is as simple as that. They are a gorgeous high quality pairing that are worth every penny. I just wish I’d purchased the No7 Pop & Glow Cream Blush Stick in Mango Sorbet too. That fabulous coral colour would be perfect for Spring/Summer. Back to Boots I go…
