This week’s lipstick of choice is the only glaze lipstick that I own from MAC Cosmetics, believe it or not, and it was one of their MAC by Request shades – Pink Poodle. It is described by MAC as being a ‘vivid fuchsia-pink and it is now freely available to purchase online. I found Pink Poodle to be a very cool toned fuchsia-pink with quite a bit of iridescent shimmer throughout, similar to but not the same as Show Orchid. If you think Girl About Town meets Show Orchid then you’re nearly there. As this lipstick offers a glaze finish, it applies semi-opaque with a fair amount of translucency but boy oh boy, it is a wonderful shade. I’m really loving my bright pinks, magentas and fuchsia’s lately – I just can’t get enough. They are the best colours to wear around this time of year – bold, bright,, vibrant and striking. Now I have to admit that the glaze finish isn’t my favourite finish from MAC (y’all know that it’s matte) but this lipstick wore well for a good 4-5 hours which is pretty impressive. It was slightly drying so a good slick of lip balm or primer beforehand wouldn’t go a miss. It’s a great colour, packed with pigmentation and a perfect Summer shade.
