By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Powder – £42.00.

When it comes to luxurious and decadent high end products then By Terry is definitely up there with the best of the beauty brands and I recently took to Space.NK to pick up one of their cult beauty ‘must haves’ – By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Powder. It sounded like an oily skinned, large pored girls dream. The main aim of this incredibly lightweight and finely milled powder is to conceal, correct and protect your skin – concealing imperfections, blurring large pores and giving your skin a truly flawless and airbrushed finish. Hyaluronic acid has been used for years to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Now, I’m only 26 so I’m not quite at the wrinkle stage just yet but it is ideal for disguising my extremely large and open pores. These things are like pot holes in the road, they’re that big and By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Powder has been one of the only products I’ve tried that has successfully reduced their appearance. By Terry, give yourself a little pat on the back! This wonderful translucent powder doesn’t only contain hyaluronic acid, it also contains silica – an ingredient in a lot of primers that I’ve never managed to get along with until now – the silica microbeads help to prevent shine, correct imperfections and provide a lovely matte finish. I have to admit that the lasting power with this powder is pretty special too – my full face of make up actually stays intact a great deal longer when using this powder to set it all in place. My skin is quite the oily nightmare so this is quite a triumph for any beauty product in my opinion. Now I know what you are all thinking, “look at that price tag” – yes, I agree, £42.00 is one hell of a price tag for what is essentially a small tub of white looking powder BUT believe me when I say, it is worth every penny. You only need to use the smallest amount to set your make up and I have been using this daily for several months and I haven’t even made a dent in it. I use the sifter to pour a small amount of the powder in to the lid and use a brush to dust it over my make up. It does have a very interesting scent… I can’t quite put my finger on what it is but it is pretty bizarre and not all that pleasant but hey, I can live with it. The results are far too good – they speak for themselves.

This is one of my faves-I have a review of it in my drafts too!

    • It’s fab, isn’t it Stace? I look forward to reading your thoughts on it! Xx

  • In a word: oooooh! I tend to go high end with foundation and stick with Rimmel Stay Matte for powder, but this sounds really interesting! Did you get a sample before you bought? If so, where can I find one?! Haha xx

    • I didn’t unfortunately… It’s pricey, isn’t it? I read loads of reviews beforehand and eventually took the gamble because I really wanted to try it for myself. Luckily, I liked the results. Great little powder! Xx

      • Interesting! Well, it’s my birthday soon…maybe I’ll take the plunge! Haha xx
