Well hello there my little pretty… Kevyn Aucoin’s Sensual Skin Enhancer is a wonderfully multi-tasking hybrid of a product that helps to create a gorgeous, flawless and glowing complexion. It was created to mimic the appearance of healthy, radiant skin, and it can be used in a number of different ways to ensure that this is the end result. This can be used as a spot concealer, a foundation, an under eye concealer, you name it.
I personally prefer to use Kevyn Aucoin’s Sensual Skin Enhancer as a spot concealer to cover any nasty red zits that might be lingering around, and to conceal my under eye area as I am prone to the most unsightly dark circles. I am making myself sound so attractive right now, no? This product needs the most carefully considered application which is why I could never use it is as a foundation. I just ain’t got the skill for it yo! The Sensual Skin Enhancer is incredibly thick, intensely creamy and packed to the rafters with pigmentation. I apply it with a very light hand, and by mixing it with a normal liquid concealer to get the best results. I use a cotton wool bud, dab lightly on to the cream and dot under my eyes before blending with a beauty blender. I then lightly apply a layer of my liquid concealer of choice (Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer or NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer) over the top and blend again. It has immense staying power and it doesn’t settle in to any fine lines or creases. I usually opt for a colour a few shades lighter than my foundation to brighten the under-eye area so I opted for SX03 this time around. I have to admit that literally nothing, and I mean nothing, covers the dark circles under my eyes quite as well as this beauty. It helps me to look bright eyed and bushy tailed on the daily in work, and that is quite an achievement. What more could I ask for? Not a lot really. If you were to use this as a foundation, I would recommend getting your mix on – you would be best mixing the Sensual Skin Enhancer with a generous amount of your favourite moisturiser. I would also highly recommend applying it with a beauty blender (damp or dry) as the consistency would not work very well with a brush – I’m seeing brush stroke lines everywhere. If you want a product that covers your skins imperfections with ease and happily waves goodbye to tired eyes, then this is for you. It might be pricey retailing at £36.00 for a really small pot BUT a little really goes a long way and I mean a REALLY long way. I use the smallest amount daily and I’m barely making a dent. It’s fantastic value for money and one of my favourite beauty products, ever.
